Common Questions & Answers

Q: Why should I use your Printed Circuit Board Layout services?

A: Most layout people are not Electrical Engineers. I am an Electrical Engineer. I have taken specialized training in noise reduction principles. When I perform your layout, I consider the following:

■ high & low speed signals
■ placement of components with respect to noisy components
■ trace width
■ the implication of a trace right there. What is adjacent to the trace and above and below it?
■ I do it right the first time!
■ My circuit boards always work 99% of the time. The times that they haven't worked was due to a circuit design error and not a layout error


Q: Why do people believe that layout is just merely connecting point A to point B?

A: In the days of low speed design, routing probably was not critical. Today routing and component placement is everything, especially with fast rising edges of both clock and signal. A good layout begins with good component placement. My boards have passed the following tests (EFT, surge, radiated emissions, immunity)

I am an amazing PCB designer.  I have the knack for PCB layout. All my PCB layouts work the first time.  I have an amazing attention to details.  I have had specialized training in EMC/EMI.  What makes me unique is that I am an Electrical Engineer that likes doing PCB layout.  I see a PCB layout as a practical art form just like architecture is a practical art form in housing people.
